# Borrow

Borrowing against deposited assets is possible on Twister Finance. The amount that can be borrowed in relation to the collateral depends on the type of asset being used as collateral. The borrow limit can be found in your Portfolio tab. Availability of assets and volume for borrowing is contingent upon the liquidity of the supplied asset. If there is insufficient liquidity, waiting for a new user or the platform to supply more, or for a loan to be repaid, may be necessary.

**Step 1:** To borrow an asset, click on the desired asset. It is essential to ensure that there is sufficient liquidity for the asset and that you have not exceeded your borrow limit.

**Step 2:** In the next step, enter the desired amount to borrow and click the "Borrow" button. A transaction signature and payment of gas fees through your wallet are required to complete the borrowing transaction. It may also be necessary to enable the asset in your wallet and pay a gas fee before the transaction can be completed.

Your Portfolio tab will display the outstanding borrowed assets and any remaining borrow limit.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://twister-finance.gitbook.io/twisterfinance/getting-started/borrow.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
